Mindful momentum:
Moving forward with intention and consistent, purposeful progress while being fully grounded in the present moment; experiencing each day with awareness
Hello,
My name is Cindy and I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I completed my training and education at Samuel Merritt University and Maryville University. I am bilingual and also speak Hmong. I am committed to understanding your individual story, struggles, and goals. Together, we’ll work on a plan that fits your needs—whether that includes medication, therapeutic support, or both. My approach is holistic and collaborative, meaning we’ll make decisions as a team, focusing on what works best for you with consideration to your social, cultural, emotional, and spiritual needs.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I help teens and adults of all ages navigate mental health challenges using evidence-based practices, compassion, and empathetic listening. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, without judgment, and help you take meaningful steps forward. Healing isn’t just about reducing emotional pain—it’s about reclaiming who you are, your inner strength and confidence.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, attention/concentration problems, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, grief, obsessive/compulsive issues, postpartum depressions/anxiety, sleep problems, trauma, and many more. Please message me if you have any questions, I’m happy to answer your questions directly.
Services Provided:
Psychiatric Evaluation & Diagnosis
The first appointment consists of a 60-minute visit, in which I take the time to get to know you, your story, and your goals. I seek to gain insight on how I can help support you in your mental health journey.
Ongoing Medication Management & Follow Up
I believe in gentle prescribing methods that follow evidence-based guidelines. This means starting low and going slow and utilizing the lowest effective dose in managing symptoms. Follow-up appointments typically range from 15 to 30 minutes.
Therapeutic Support
I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to help you build resilience, identify internal resources, develop positive coping skills, gain clarity, manage the stress of everyday life, and improve your overall mental well-being.
Collaborative, Individualized, & Culturally Sensitive Care
There is no “one-size-fits-all” care plan. Every individual is different and we will work together to create a treatment plan that works best for you with consideration to your social, emotional, and cultural needs.
